The Centre will utilize international research partnerships as a key strategy, particularly within the global development sectors. Collaborations between entities are expanding, underscoring the growing recognition that successful research partnerships strive for equity, inclusion, and mutual respect, acknowledging that power dynamics are crucial between regulated industries and economics.
The Centre aligns with critical goals of the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent (2050 Strategy), particularly focusing on fostering Political Leadership and Regionalism, Resource and Economic Development, Climate Change, Disasters and Technology Connectivity as APRC aims to contribute to a more sustainable and prosperous future for the Pacific regions in the economic and regulatory areas.

The sustainable development goals (SDGs) such as affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), industry, innovation, and infrastructure (SDG 9), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17), will be centres major focus areas.
The Centre will aspire to use its dedication to thorough research and evidence-based policymaking to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the Asia Pacific region. Through the gathering of a varied group of specialists from throughout the region, APRC offers thorough understandings of regulatory issues. This is not only aimed at identifying best practices but also at proposing innovative solutions that can be tailored to the unique socio-economic and environmental contexts of Asia Pacific nations.
